I’m sitting in my bed late last night from nightmares, to awake from another nightmare of the WWE 2K Battlegrounds roster. IGN got the exclusive for this and has posted the above demographic I’m using as a header. As you can see, a lot of major stars are missing and most of all NXT but somehow Rhea Ripley, Fandango and Tyler Breeze made it in.

My fam and I sat down together and were all disappointed to see the following not in from NXT’s The Undisputed Era, Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, Bobby Fish, And Roderick Strong to also the following: John Morrison, Io Shirai, Shayna Bayzler, Kairi Sane, Lacey Evans, Keith Lee, Kay Lee Ray, Walter, Karrion Kross, Scarlett Bordeaux, Tegan Nox, Tomasso Ciampa, Dakota Kai, Dexter Lumis, Bianca Belair, Pete Dunne, Tony Storm, Mustache Mountain (Tyle Bate & Trent Seven), Santos Escobar, and many more. The most burning factor of this all is that we have Mauro Ranallo on commentary but no NXT presence. You know how much it’s going to be a reminder having the voice of NXT in your ears but no NXT Superstars in your gameplay.

To those that did make it in…

Why the roster is a big disappointment for me and probably many more as you will see on social media, let’s just hope the game makes up for it with its gameplay and features. If not 2K is looking for another massive blow to its fan base which is already in low morale after WWE 2K20’s shortcomings that included many NXT UK stars missing as well. Another reason, they should have made sure the base game was as up to date as possible because people are dying for an up to date roster from skipping 2K20, the cancellation of 2K21, or multiple reasons I have mentioned here.
