Tomb Raider will be one of the biggest games of 2013. The official release date, March 5 2013, has fans eager with anticipation. Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics announced today that Jason Graves, award winning film, television and gaming composer will be producing the game’s original score.
In “The Sound of Survival,” Zachary Levi escorts viewers to the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) London headquarters, and speaks to Graves about his role in the reboot of the iconic TOMB RAIDER franchise. BAFTA has previously recognized Graves’s work for “Original Score” and “Use of Audio” in Dead Space® 2.
Grave reveals his vision for the game’s soundscape and speaks about combining atmosphere, emotion, and authenticity into Lara’s origin story. The composer will be looking to find the perfect sound with collaboration of Sculpter, Matt McConnel, who created an wholly custom-made and original instrument to bring unique sound to Tomb Raider.
Also, announced preorders on Amazon will receive “The Final Hours Of Tomb Raider” – Director’s Cut Kindle Fire edition (I guess if you don’t have a Kindle you will get one now..?), as well as an exclusive “Hunter Skin” and art book. These items will release alongside the game on March 5, 2013.
