KOEI TECMO AMERICA today announced that Samurai Warriors 4-II has shipped to stores and is now available across North America for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system at the MSRP of $49.99. The game is also available for PlayStation®3 as well as the PlayStation®Vita handheld entertainment system via digital download for $39.99, and for PC via Steam for $49.99.

Samurai Warriors 4-II is a hero-focused saga that casts a spotlight on the Samurai that shaped the Sengoku era of Japanese history and tells their stories through 13 exciting new chapters. These chapters revolve around nine characters introduced in Samurai Warriors 4, three fan-favorites from previous titles, and a brand new addition to the samurai roster. Many new and improved features have been added as the battle, action, and character development systems have been revamped. Weapons and mounts have ranks and levels, and similar types can be combined to upgrade their level and abilities.

Samurai Warriors 4-II also introduces a highly challenging yet richly rewarding mode called Survival Mode, in which players push themselves to the limit by taking control of their favorite character and entering a daunting castle with endless levels and countless rewards! Defeating thousands of enemies and completing objectives awards the player with weapons and mounts to be used in the game’s other modes, but only if the player escapes the castle before the health or time bars deplete. The higher the climb, the more difficult and numerous the enemies are, and the more lucrative the rewards.

These exciting features of Samurai Warriors 4-II open up endless possibilities that provide a unique playstyle for each of the 13 protagonists of this riveting war drama.

Samurai Warriors 4-II has been rated “T for Teen” by the ESRB.
