Square Enix, Inc., the publisher of SQUARE ENIX® interactive entertainment products in the Americas, today announced that the beta tests of FINAL FANTASY® XIV: A Realm Reborn on the new PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system will start on February 22, 2014. Furthermore, players on the current PlayStation®3 system will be able to migrate to the PlayStation®4 system at no additional cost, when the system is available in North America.
Players who have purchased the PlayStation®3 system version can transition their character data to the PlayStation®4 system to continue their online adventure.
FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn is now available for $39.99 on the PlayStation®3 system and $29.99 for Windows PC. A free 30-day trial is included for new accounts, with monthly subscriptions starting at $12.99.
More detailed information on the PlayStation®4 system beta tests and the free transition service will be released soon.
