ADG is journeying to the land of Sonic Lost World for his next review adventure. How does Sonic’s new adventure with Nintendo stack up versus the Deadly Six?

The story is a very nice one. It flows as friendly and entertaining as a Saturday morning cartoon show. Dr. Eggman has managed to gain the power of six menacing creatures known as the Deadly Six. The Deadly Six betrays Dr. Eggman in their quest of Lost Hex domination. Sonic unites with his arch nemesis, Eggman to take on this new threat.

Gameplay wise the game is a little different but don’t be afraid. Despite other reviews, the gameplay does just enough to not make this title a complete disappointment. Sonic moves slightly slower and doesn’t seem to dash and move as fast in 3D or 2D stages. Cutting corners and moving side to side in 3D worlds are occasionally a nuisance. Sonic just doesn’t seem as agile as in the past. After getting over this you will be able to enjoy the new gameplay style of Sonic Lost World. The best part oddly are the 2D stages of the game even though they aren’t as fast and speedy as older Sonic titles.

Alongside with the new games comes a ton of new features. There are new moves, new color powers, versus, co-op support mode and more. Have you ever wanted to do a flying kick with Sonic? Well, this is your game. One thing to be noted is that versus online is only available in the DS version. Also vise versa the Co-op support mode is only available on the Wii U.

Sonic Lost World doesn’t live up to the hype but does enough to satisfy fans of the series and maybe a few others.
