For the past week, I have taken the H1Z1 PS4 open beta experience. H1Z1 is one of the first Battle Royale games to make the gender popular on PC. It has now launched on PlayStation 4 and looking to give players another option besides Fortnite.
H1Z1 comes on the seen being a more realistic Battle Royale game. High falls will damage you, weapons are more sensible, you must bandage your wons, armor offer protection but must be replaced through time and so on.
As I played H1Z1, I remembered my days of Socom on PS4. Those games were elimination style and very tense. That is what H1Z1 is like but in an open world post-apocalyptic setting.
The game has had an issue with players not receiving their items at launch. Connection issues and a decent share of glitches and bugs. For me, it wasn’t enough to stop my enjoyment and gameplay of the game. Also for the past week, there has been an update about every day for this game. You have to respect the developers for their dedication.
I feel H1Z1 even though it’s a Battle Royale shouldn’t be judged by the fame and what is Fortnite. H1Z1 is a different experience of the Battle Royale genre that I feel even in its early stages people should check out. Remember before Fortnite even decided to go Battle Royale (because originally it was just a survival wave based game), H1Z1 was bringing the Battle Royale heat!
I will be covering more thoughts on the content, DLC packs, as well as the game experience in the weeks to months to come. So stay tuned on my Twitter, FaceBook and here for updates.
